We have a bit of a pet project. We are looking for a high cycle valve. Right now we can only really hink of a cam driven full rotation valve.

I am currently engineering a flush on a heat exchanger, shell-and-tube type. I will be connecting the tube side (350 psi) to the shell side (50 psi).

We have have a number of stainless steel lines to install but have found carbon contaimnation adjacent to the weld area, it seems like carbon brushers have been used.

If a valve is supposed to be say Class 800, what does it mean? I am sure it is related to pressure and temperature but do not know the exact meaning.

How common is the practise of drilling holes in pump check valves?

If a high pressure system with high flow is discharging into atmosphere through a 2" gate valve and a small length of pipe .
